Kiyú – Ordeig is a lovely coastal resort located in the southern part of Uruguay, specifically in the San José Department. It's actually made up of two main areas, Kiyú and Ordeig, which are about 5 kilometers (3 miles) apart. These two parts are connected by houses built along the beautiful beach. Even though it's two areas, people often just call the whole place Kiyú. Did you know the name 'Kiyú' comes from the Guarani language and means 'cricket'?
