History of Knightsville
Knightsville started in 1867. It grew around a special factory called an iron furnace. This furnace was built just one year before, in 1866. The town was named after Dr. A. W. Knight. He was the person who originally owned the land where the town was built. A post office opened in Knightsville in 1870.
