Knott is a small, quiet place in Howard County, Texas, in the United States. It's called an "unincorporated community" because it doesn't have its own city government. Knott is located in the northwestern part of Howard County, near a road called FM 846. It's also northwest of Big Spring, which is the main town for the county. Knott is about 2,612 feet (796 meters) above sea level. Even though it's not a city, Knott has its own post office and a special mail code, which is 79748.
About Knott, Texas
Knott and a nearby place called West Knott were named after a rancher. His name was Calvin Stevenson Knott. He was one of the very first people to settle and live in this area.
