Kochville Community History
- Kochville is a small community within the township. It is not a separate city or town. This area was settled by Frederick Charles Koch in 1849. The township was named after him when it was formed in 1856. For a short time, it had a post office called "Phillips." This was named after the first postmaster, David Phillips. Later, the post office was renamed Kochville.
Lawndale Community
- Lawndale is another community. It sits right on the border between Kochville Township and Saginaw Township.
