Koen Maria Gaston Wauters (born on September 17, 1967) is a famous Belgian singer. He is best known as the lead singer of the band Clouseau. Koen is also a well-known television presenter. Sometimes, he acts in movies and even competes as a race car driver!

About Koen Wauters
Koen Wauters was born in Halle, Belgium, in 1967. He grew up in Sint-Genesius-Rode with his three brothers and two sisters. When he was young, Koen loved playing football. He dreamed of becoming a professional player. However, repeated knee injuries stopped him from pursuing this dream.
Koen's Music Career
In 1987, Koen and his brother Kris joined a local band called Clouseau. Koen quickly became the band's frontman and lead singer. Clouseau became very popular in Flanders (the Dutch-speaking part of Belgium) in 1989. Their song Anne was a massive hit. For over twenty years, Clouseau has been one of the most loved bands in Flanders.
Koen as an Actor
Koen Wauters has also appeared in two Dutch movies. These films are My Blue Heaven (from 1990) and Intensive Care (from 1991).
Koen as a TV Presenter
Koen Wauters began his career as a TV presenter in 1989. He was one of the first faces for the new Flemish TV station vtm. He has hosted many popular shows over the years. Some of these include De Super 50 (a music chart show) and Familieraad. He also presented Wedden dat?, 1 tegen 100, and Op zoek naar Maria.
Koen also hosted the Flemish version of Pop Idol with his brother Kris. They presented Idool 2003, Idool 2004, and Idool 2007. In 2005, he hosted X Factor (Belgium). Since 2011, he has been a coach on The Voice van Vlaanderen. He has also been presenting Belgium's Got Talent on vtm since 2012.
Koen as a Race Car Driver
One of Koen Wauters' biggest hobbies is race car driving. He has taken part in the famous Dakar Rally 11 times. He successfully finished the race 9 times, which is a great achievement! Koen also competes in the Belgian GT Championship with his brother Kris. He won his first race in this championship at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit in 2009.
It's a fun fact that Koen Wauters also participated as a co-driver in the Legend Boucles de Spa rally. He did this in both 2010 and 2011. He was the co-driver for Marc Duez, another famous Belgian racing driver.
Koen's Family Life
Koen Wauters has two children, a daughter named Zita and a son named Nono. He is also an ambassador for Plan Belgium. This organization works to help children around the world.
