Koen Wauters (born on September 17, 1967) is a famous Belgian singer. He is the lead singer of the popular band Clouseau. Koen is also a well-known TV presenter, an actor, and even a race car driver!

Early Life and Hobbies
Koen Wauters was born in Halle, Belgium, in 1967. He grew up in Sint-Genesius-Rode with his three brothers and two sisters. When he was younger, Koen loved playing football. He dreamed of becoming a professional player. However, repeated knee injuries stopped him from pursuing this dream.
Musical Journey with Clouseau
In 1987, Koen and his brother Kris joined a local band called Clouseau. Koen quickly became the lead singer and frontman. The band became very famous in Flanders, Belgium, in 1989. This happened when their song Anne became a huge hit. For over twenty years, Clouseau has been one of the most popular bands in Flanders.
Koen Wauters as an Actor
Koen Wauters has also appeared in movies. He acted in two Dutch films. These were My Blue Heaven in 1990 and Intensive Care in 1991.
Television Presenting Career
Koen Wauters started working as a TV presenter in 1989. He was one of the first faces for the new Flemish TV channel vtm. He has hosted many popular shows. Some of these include De Super 50, Familieraad, Wedden dat?, and 1 tegen 100.
He also hosted singing competition shows. With his brother Kris, he presented all three seasons of the Flemish Pop Idol. These were Idool 2003, Idool 2004, and Idool 2007. He also hosted X Factor (Belgium) in 2005. Since 2011, Koen has been a coach on The Voice van Vlaanderen. Since 2012, he has presented Belgium's Got Talent on vtm.
Koen Wauters as a Race Car Driver
One of Koen Wauters' biggest hobbies is race car driving. He has competed in the famous Dakar Rally 11 times. He successfully finished the race 9 of those times. Koen and his brother Kris also race together in the Belgian GT Championship. Koen won his first race in this championship at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit on May 10, 2009.
He also participated as a co-driver in the Legend Boucles de Spa in 2010 and 2011. He was the co-driver for Marc Duez, another well-known Belgian racing driver. In 2018, Koen raced in the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series at Circuit Zolder.
Personal Life and Charity Work
Koen Wauters has been married twice. He married Carolyn Lilipaly in 1998, and they divorced in 2001. He then married Valerie De Booser in 2004, and they divorced in 2020. Koen has two children, a daughter named Zita and a son named Nono.
Koen Wauters is also an ambassador for Plan Belgium. This organization helps children around the world.
