Koepenick is a small, quiet place in Wisconsin, United States. It's not a big city or a town with its own government. Instead, it's what we call an unincorporated community. This means it's a group of homes and maybe a few businesses that are part of a larger area, like a town or county, but don't have their own separate local government.

Koepenick is located in Langlade County, within the town of Upham. You can find it about 13.5 miles (21.7 km) north of a larger city called Antigo, right on County Highway B.

History of Koepenick

Koepenick has a bit of history, even though it's a small place. Back in 1890, a post office was opened there. A post office is where people could send and receive letters and packages. It was an important part of connecting the community to the outside world.

This post office served the community for many years, but it eventually closed down in 1925. The community itself was named after an early settler named E. S. Koepenick. He was one of the first people to settle in the area and owned a local sawmill, which was a place where logs were cut into lumber.
