Kohei Doi (born December 24, 1988) is a Japanese football player. He is a talented goalkeeper who plays for the team Iwate Grulla Morioka.
Kohei Doi's Football Journey
Kohei grew up in Kobe, Japan. He started playing football in the youth teams of Vissel Kobe. Even though he trained with them for a long time, he didn't get to play in a main team match.
Later, he played for other teams like Mito Hollyhock and FC Imabari. In 2012, he joined Grulla Morioka (now called Iwate Grulla Morioka), and that's where he has played for many years.
A Goalkeeper's Goal!
Kohei is known for something very unusual! In a 2014 J3 League match against Nagano Parceiro, he scored a goal from his own half of the field with a powerful long kick. This was quite a surprise and made the news!
In 2015, he played for Kyoto Sanga for a short time on loan, which means he temporarily moved to another team. But he returned to Grulla Morioka at the end of that season.
