Koji Arimura (有村 光史, Arimura Kōji) is a former professional football player from Japan. He was born on August 25, 1976, in Fukuoka, Japan. Koji Arimura played as a defender during his career. He played for several clubs in Japan's professional leagues before he retired in 2008.

Koji Arimura's Football Journey
Koji Arimura started his professional football career in 1999. After finishing university, he joined Sagan Tosu. This club had just moved up to the J2 League, which is Japan's second-highest football division.
Early Career at Sagan Tosu
In his first year with Sagan Tosu, Koji Arimura did not play in many games. However, he worked hard and by 2000, he started playing more often. In 2001, he became a regular player for the team. He usually played as a right-side midfielder, helping both in defense and attack.
Success with Oita Trinita
In 2002, Koji Arimura moved to another J2 League club, Oita Trinita. This move was a big step for him. He quickly became a key player for Oita Trinita, playing as a left-side defender. That same year, his team won the J2 League championship! This win meant that Oita Trinita was promoted to the J1 League, Japan's top football division, starting in 2003.
Koji Arimura continued to be a regular player for Oita Trinita in the J1 League until 2004. In 2005, he played less often for the team.
Moving to New Teams
In 2006, Koji Arimura joined Nagoya Grampus Eight, a J1 League club. He started the year as a regular left-side defender. But after May, he did not play in any more matches for them. Later that year, in September, he moved to Vissel Kobe, a J2 League team. However, he hardly played any games for Vissel Kobe either.
Final Years and Retirement
In 2007, Koji Arimura joined Rosso Kumamoto. This club was in the Japan Football League, which is a lower division. He became a regular player for them again. His strong play helped Rosso Kumamoto get promoted to the J2 League in 2008.
In 2008, the club changed its name to Roasso Kumamoto. Koji Arimura's chances to play decreased that year. At the end of the 2008 season, he decided to retire from professional football.
