Korede Bello (born on February 29, 1996) is a talented singer and songwriter from Nigeria. He became famous after signing with Mavin Records in 2014. Korede Bello is best known for his super hit song "Godwin". This song was a mix of gospel and pop music. It became very popular across Nigeria and topped many music charts.

Early Life and First Steps in Music

Korede Bello was born in Lagos State, Nigeria. His name "Korede" means "Bring Fortune" in English. He finished his primary and secondary school education in Lagos. Korede is from the Yoruba ethnic group.

He started performing music when he was just 7 years old. Back then, he used the stage name African Prince.

Starting His Music Career

While still in primary school, Korede Bello formed a music group with a friend. He even wrote his first song during this time! He began recording songs professionally in a studio when he was in secondary school. Later, he released his very first single called "Forever."

His debut album, titled Belloved, came out in 2017. In 2016, his popular song "Do Like That" was certified gold in Canada. This means it sold a lot of copies there!

Korede Bello also studied Mass Communication at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism. He holds a special certificate called a Higher National Diploma. He is also a member of the Institute of Information Management.

Joining Mavin Records

After his first song "Forever" was released, it got good reviews. Korede Bello's manager, Casmir Uwaegbute, introduced him to Don Jazzy. They recorded some songs together, and Don Jazzy was very impressed.

On February 28, 2014, Korede Bello officially joined Mavin Records. Under this label, he released many popular songs like "African Princess" and "Godwin." He left Mavin Records in 2021.

In 2021, Korede Bello received a Gold Certification Award from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This was for his hit song "Do Like That." It became the highest-certified digital single for him and Mavin Records at that time. He also received a Gold Award in Canada in 2022 for his music.

New Music with Caspertainment

Korede Bello released a new song called "Available" in October 2022. This song came out under the Caspertainment Agency. In April 2023, he released another new song titled "Jejely," which featured the amazing artist Mr Eazi.

Helping Others: Korede Bello's Humanitarian Work

Korede Bello cares a lot about helping people. He has taken part in many activities to support good causes. For example, he joined the Project Pink Blue Walk for Cancer awareness program in Abuja in 2015 and 2017.

He is also a big supporter of Mental Health awareness. His goal is to help end the unfair way people treat those with mental illness. He wants to support young people who are living with mental health challenges.

Becoming an Ambassador

In 2015, the Nigerian Police Force chose Korede Bello as their very first Youth Ambassador. This was announced by the Inspector General of Police, IGP Solomon E. Arase. In 2018, he was given an even higher honor. He was decorated as an Honorary Superintendent of Police by the IGP.
