Krakow is a small, unincorporated community located in Franklin County, Missouri, in the United States. It's not a city with its own government, but rather a group of homes and businesses. History of Krakow
Krakow got its start a long time ago. A post office opened here in 1871. This post office helped people send and receive mail for many years. It stayed open until 1953.
The community was named after a famous city in Poland called Kraków. Many of the first people who settled here came from that city in Poland. They wanted to remember their homeland.
