Kristanna Sommer Loken (born October 8, 1979) is an American actress and model. She started her career in modeling before becoming an actress in 1994. She has appeared in many TV shows and movies. Her most famous role was playing the T-X robot in the movie Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines in 2003. She has also starred in films like BloodRayne and TV series such as Painkiller Jane.

Kristanna Loken was born on October 8, 1979, in Ghent, New York. Her parents came from a Norwegian community in Wisconsin. Her mother, Rande, was a model, and her father, Merlin "Chris" Loken, was a writer, apple farmer, and actor. Kristanna has a sister named Tanya.
Kristanna has Norwegian and German family roots. Her grandparents even spoke Norwegian. She has said that she feels both Norwegian and American. She enjoys following Norwegian traditions, especially during holidays like Christmas. She grew up in Upstate New York and first visited Norway when she was 12 years old.
Kristanna Loken's Acting Career Highlights
Kristanna's mother encouraged her to try modeling. In 1994, she took part in the Elite Model Look competition and finished as the third runner-up. That same year, she began her acting career on the TV show As the World Turns. She then appeared in several other TV shows like Philly, Unhappily Ever After, and Boy Meets World.
In 1998, Kristanna starred as Taja in the TV series Mortal Kombat: Conquest. Her big break came in 2003 when she played the T-X, a powerful robot, in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. This role made her very well-known.
After Terminator 3, she appeared in a German TV movie called Dark Kingdom: The Dragon King in 2004. She also played the main character, Rayne, in the 2006 movie BloodRayne, which was based on a video game. She also appeared in In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale in 2007.
From 2007 to 2008, she was in 10 episodes of The L Word. She also starred as the main character, Jane Vasco, in the Sci-Fi Channel series Painkiller Jane in 2007. Later, in 2011 and 2012, she played CIA agent Rebecca Lang in the TV series Burn Notice.
In 2014, Kristanna starred in the action movie Mercenaries with other famous action actresses. In 2017, she co-starred in the movie Body of Deceit. More recently, she appeared in Darkness of Man in 2024.

Kristanna Loken was engaged to her Painkiller Jane co-star Noah Danby in January 2008. They got married on May 10, 2008, at her family's farm. However, they separated in 2009.
On May 31, 2016, Kristanna became a mother to a son named Thor Loken Bates. The father of her child is Jonathan Bates.
