Kristanna Loken (born October 8, 1979) is an American actress, model, and director. She started her career in modeling in 1994. Soon after, she began acting.

Kristanna first appeared on television in the show As the World Turns. She later starred in many TV series and movies. Her most famous role was playing the robot T-X in the film Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003). She has also appeared in films like BloodRayne and TV shows such as Painkiller Jane.

Early Life and Beginnings

Kristanna Loken was born on October 8, 1979. Her birthplace was Ghent, New York, in the United States. Her mother, Rande, was a model. Her father, Merlin "Chris" Loken, was a writer and an apple farmer.

Kristanna's family has roots from Germany and Norway. Her parents were from Wisconsin. She grew up on her family's fruit farm in Upstate New York.

Acting Career Highlights

Kristanna's mother encouraged her to try modeling. In 1994, she took part in the Elite Model Look competition. She finished as the third runner-up.

Kristanna started acting in 1994. Her first role was on the TV show As the World Turns. She played Danielle 'Dani' Andropoulos. Later, she appeared in other TV shows. These included Philly, Unhappily Ever After, and Boy Meets World.

In 1998, Kristanna starred as Taja in Mortal Kombat: Conquest. This was a TV series based on the popular video game. Her big breakthrough came in 2003. She played the advanced robot, the T-X (Terminatrix), in the movie Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. For this role, she was nominated for two Saturn Awards.

In 2004, she was in a German TV movie. It was called Die Nibelungen. This movie was very popular. She then played the main character, Rayne, in the 2006 film BloodRayne. This movie was based on a video game. She also appeared in In the Name of the King.

From 2007 to 2008, Kristanna was in 10 episodes of The L Word. In 2007, she also starred as the main character in the Sci-Fi Channel series Painkiller Jane. Later, in 2011 and 2012, she played CIA agent Rebecca Lang. This was in the TV series Burn Notice.

In 2014, she starred in the action movie Mercenaries. She acted alongside other famous action stars. In 2017, she co-starred in the movie Body of Deceit.

Personal Life

Kristanna Loken was married to her Painkiller Jane co-star Noah Danby. They were married from 2008 to 2009. Kristanna has one child, a son. He was born in May 2016.
