Girl Meets World is a fun American sitcom about growing up. It first aired on Disney Channel on June 27, 2014. The show finished its run on January 20, 2017.
This series is a sequel to a popular show called Boy Meets World. That original show was on ABC from 1993 to 2000. Girl Meets World was very popular, and Disney Channel quickly renewed it for a second season in 2014.
Meet the Characters and Story
The show follows Riley Matthews (Rowan Blanchard) and her best friend, Maya Hart (Sabrina Carpenter). They are starting seventh grade and learning about life. Riley's parents are Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga (Danielle Fishel) Matthews. Cory is also their history teacher!
You'll also meet their friends, Lucas (Peyton Meyer) and Farkle (Corey Fogelmanis). Riley's younger brother, Auggie (August Maturo), is also part of the family fun. The story takes place in New York City. This is where Cory and Topanga moved at the end of the Boy Meets World series.
