Kristian Regále is a company that makes special drinks. These drinks are non-alcoholic, which means they do not contain alcohol. The company is based in Paramus, New Jersey, in the United States. Kristian Regále is famous for its Swedish American background and its delicious sparkling apple cider.

History of Kristian Regále

How the Company Started

Kristian Regále began in 1988. A woman named Nancy Bieraugel started the company. She bought apple cider syrup from a company in Herrljunga, Sweden. This is why Kristian Regále has strong Swedish roots!

At first, the drinks were bottled in New Ulm, Minnesota. Later, the production moved to Cold Spring, Minnesota. Nancy and her family worked hard for almost 20 years. They built a special business selling their non-alcoholic drinks in grocery stores across the country.

Growing the Business

The company launched its drinks at Swedish events in 1988. The look of the bottles and the company name were updated to be more appealing. The very first stores to sell Kristian Regále were Byerly's and Lund's in Minneapolis.

Soon after, the popular furniture store IKEA also started selling Kristian Regále drinks. Over the years, the company grew. They built a network to distribute their drinks all over the United States.

In 1992, Nancy Bieraugel teamed up with Jack Berntson. He owned a large company that brought Scandinavian food to the US. Nancy later bought the Kristian Regále company back from him in 2004. In 2005, she sold most of the business to a new group of partners. These partners were experienced leaders from big food companies.

Around the year 2000, Nancy Bieraugel moved the drink production to Spain. This helped Kristian Regále sell its drinks to IKEA stores all around the world. Today, Kristian Regále owns all the recipes for its tasty beverages.

Kristian Regále Flavors

Kristian Regále first became known for its sparkling apple cider. Later, they added a sparkling pear flavor. This was also made by the Herrljunga Cider company in Sweden.

Nancy Bieraugel wanted to create more unique flavors. She knew that lingonberries are very popular in Sweden. So, she created her own recipe for a lingonberry-apple drink. She also developed blackcurrant and peach flavors.

The company's fun slogan is "It's Time to Sparkle".
