Kristina's Early Life and Music Journey

Kristina was born on September 21, 1979, in a town called Negotino. Even as a small child, she loved to sing. She dreamed of performing on TV and making music her life.

Her grandmother, Ristenka, taught her French when she was only three years old. Her grandfather, Yusuf, shared his love for reading with her. He also taught her about being strong and proud.

Kristina was a lively and determined child at school. But she always did well with her studies and grades.

She first held a microphone at age four in kindergarten. She led a school show and sang songs. Her uncle, who played the drums, also helped her love music. He often practiced with his band at her home.

Kristina showed a talent for writing songs from a young age. She started creating her own music early on.

Her mother, Mary, raised her alone. Kristina often talks about how her mother taught her important values. These include being honest, working hard, and showing love. Her mother always told her, "You're nothing if you don't have love."

Kristina grew up in a family with different backgrounds. Her grandfather was Turkish, and her grandmother was Vlach. This helped her understand different people from a young age. When she was 18, she moved to Skopje. She says she loves Negotino, but she wanted to live in a bigger city.

She finished high school in Negotino. She has many happy memories from that time.

Starting Her Music Career

In 1996, when Kristina was 16, she joined the "Teen Fest" Festival. She won first place among 150 young singers. She recorded her first song, but it was not very popular. At 16, she also started her own pop-rock band. They played local shows and she started earning money from music.

In 1997, she joined the rock band "Saga." They recorded one song together. It became her biggest success at that time.

In 1998, she became a member of the group "Big Bang." She stayed with them until 2000. They recorded several songs that people really liked.
