Where the River Starts
The Kundar River begins in the Toba Kakar mountain range. It starts from the highest point of this range, a few kilometers northeast of a place called Sakir.

After starting in the mountains, the Kundar River flows through different areas. It is one of the main waterways that help drain the land in the Zhob District. The river's journey ends when it joins the larger Gomal River.
A Natural Border
For a long part of its journey, the Kundar River forms a natural boundary. It marks the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. This makes it an important geographical feature.
