The Kunhar River gets its water from several places. A main source is Lulusar Lake, which is about 48 kilometers (30 miles) from Naran Valley. The river is also fed by melting ice from the glaciers of Malika Parbat and Makra Peak. Water from the beautiful Saiful Muluk Lake also flows into the Kunhar River.
The River's Journey
The Kunhar River travels a long way, about 166 kilometers (103 miles). It flows through the entire Kaghan Valley. Along its path, it passes through towns and areas like Jalkhand, Naran, Kaghan, Jared, Paras, and Balakot. Eventually, the Kunhar River joins another big river called the Jhelum River.
