The Kupang LRT Station (station code:  SW3 ) is a light rail train station located in Sengkang, Singapore. It first opened its doors on June 27, 2015. This station was the very last one on the Sengkang LRT Line to begin operating. It is part of the western loop of the Sengkang LRT line.

What's in a Name?

The name "Kupang" comes from the past. Long ago, people living in the area used to fish for kupang. These are a type of small clam or mussel. Catching kupang was a very important way for them to earn a living.
