Sengkang LRT Line facts for kids
The Sengkang LRT Line is a special train system in Singapore. "LRT" stands for Light Rail Transit. This train line helps people travel easily around the Sengkang area. It is about 10.7 kilometers long. The first part of the line opened on January 18, 2003. The trains that run on this line are called Mitsubishi Crystal Movers. They are a type of automated train.

How the Sengkang LRT Line Grew
The Sengkang LRT Line opened in different stages. Here's how it grew over time:
- January 18, 2003: The East Loop of the line started running.
- January 29, 2005: Most of the West Loop opened. However, three stations were not ready yet: Cheng Lim, Farmway, and Kupang.
- November 15, 2007: The Farmway station (SW2) officially opened.
- October 31, 2012: The Land Transport Authority (LTA) started using two-car trains. This means more people could ride at once.
- January 1, 2013: The Cheng Lim station (SW1) opened its doors.
- June 27, 2015: The last station, Kupang (SW3), finally opened.
