Kurohime is a cool manga series created by Masanori Katakura. The name Kurohime means "Magic User Kurohime." This exciting story started in 2002. In English, the manga was published by Viz Media. However, not all the books were translated. Only the first 14 volumes came out in English.

There's also an action video game based on the manga! It's called Mahou Tsukai Kurohime. Tomy Corporation made and released it for the PlayStation 2 in 2006. But this game was only released in Japan.

Story of Kurohime

The story of Kurohime begins ten years after a huge war. This war was fought over a special place called the Tower of the Gods. People believed that if someone finished building this tower, they could become a god.

Kurohime stopped this big war. After the tower was finished, she destroyed it. Then, she went into the world of the gods. She wanted to fight them because they were the ones who started the war.

The gods captured Kurohime. They split her into two different beings. One part of her became her anger. The other part became her kindness and caring side.

Himeko's Journey

The part of Kurohime that represents her anger looks like a small girl named 'Himeko'. Himeko wants to get her full body and powers back. She also wants to try and defeat the gods again.

However, there's a catch! The curse that split Kurohime can only be undone with love. As the story goes on, Kurohime starts to feel love again. This happens through her friendship with a character named Zero. Because of this love, Kurohime changes and becomes different versions of herself throughout the manga.
