Kyle Bay is a small, pretty suburb in southern Sydney, Australia. It is about 19 kilometers south of the main city center, known as the Sydney central business district. This suburb is part of the Georges River Council area and the wider St George region.

The suburb gets its name from the beautiful bay that touches the northern shore of the Georges River. Kyle Bay is a tiny, lovely place. A Look Back in Time

Kyle Bay was named after a local shipbuilder called Robert Kyle. He was granted land here on November 9, 1853. Another person, James Merriman, also received land at the same time. Today, you can find streets named Kyle Parade and Merriman Street in their honor.

Legacy House

Legacy House is a historic building on the eastern side of Kyle Bay. It was given to help children. From 1948 to 1983, it was a special home for children who needed to get well after being sick. After that, a group called Legacy took it over. They used it as a home for children whose parents were servicemen or servicewomen who had passed away or could not care for them.
