Kyle Dargan is an American writer and editor. He is known for his six collections of poetry. Dargan teaches literature at American University. He also helps lead the creative writing program there.

About Kyle Dargan
Kyle Dargan was born in Newark, New Jersey, in the United States. He went to the University of Virginia for his first degree. Later, he earned a Master of Fine Arts from Indiana University Bloomington.
Dargan's Published Works
Dargan's first four poetry books were published by the University of Georgia Press. His first book, The Listening, came out in 2004. It won the Cave Canem Poetry Prize that same year. His second book, Bouquet of Hungers, was published in 2007. It received the Hurston/Wright Legacy Award for poetry in 2008.
His other books include "Logorrhea Dementia" (2010) and Honest Engine (2015). Dargan's fifth book, Anagnorisis, was released in 2018. This book won the Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize from the Academy of American Poets. His most recent book, Panzer Herz, A Live Dissection, was published in 2023.
Teaching and Editing
Kyle Dargan is an associate professor of literature at American University. He is also the assistant director of creative writing. He is the founder and editor of POST NO ILLS magazine. Dargan lives in Washington D.C.
