L'Aldea is a small town in Catalonia, Spain. It is a type of town called a municipality. It is located in an area known as the Baix Ebre comarca. A comarca is like a county or region in Catalonia.
About L'Aldea
L'Aldea is located on the left side of the Ebre river. This is where the river starts to form its delta. A delta is a flat area of land shaped like a triangle. It is formed when a river splits into smaller rivers before flowing into a larger body of water.
How L'Aldea Started
L'Aldea became its own municipality in 1983. Before that, it was part of the larger town of Tortosa. This means it got its own local government.
Getting Around L'Aldea
The town is easy to reach by road and train. The A-7 autopista and the N-340 road both serve L'Aldea. An autopista is a major highway. There is also a train station in L'Aldea. This station is on the RENFE railway line. This line connects the cities of Tarragona and Valencia.
