La Cruz is a small village located in the Florida Department of Uruguay. It's a quiet place where people live and work, just like many other villages around the world.
Where is La Cruz?
La Cruz is found right in the middle of the Florida Department in Uruguay. It sits on the east side of a main road called Ruta 5. The village is about 19 kilometers (12 miles) northwest of the city of Florida. This area is also known as Santa Teresa.
A Look at History
La Cruz officially became a village on November 23, 1929. Before that, it was just a group of houses. A special law, called Ley Nº 8.497, gave it the official title of "Pueblo," which means village in Spanish.
