La Rosita is a small community in Starr County, Texas, United States. It is known as a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's an area that the government defines for counting people, but it's not an official city or town.

In 2010, La Rosita had 85 people. By 2020, the population was 82. This number is much smaller than the 1,729 people counted in 2000. The main reason for this big change is that the Census Bureau changed the boundaries of La Rosita. They created several new CDPs from its original area.
