La Victoria is a small town located in the state of Apure in Venezuela. It sits right on the Venezuelan side of the Arauca River, which forms part of the border with Colombia.
In 2021, La Victoria experienced a situation that caused many people to move away from their homes for safety. More than 4,000 residents moved to the nearby Colombian town of Arauquita.
