The Lac Vieux Desert Indian Reservation is a special area of land in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It's located in Watersmeet Township, which is in the southeastern part of Gogebic County. This land is the home of the Lac Vieux Desert Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, a Native American tribe.
In 2020, the reservation covered about 0.419 square miles (1.09 square kilometers) of land. The reservation is made up of two separate parts, both in eastern Watersmeet Township. According to the 2020 census, 221 people lived here.

In 2020, the census counted 221 people living on the Lac Vieux Desert Reservation. This means there were about 527 people for every square mile. There were also 82 homes on the reservation.
Most of the people living on the reservation, about 85.5%, were Native American. About 6.8% were White, and a small number were Black or African American (0.5%). Some people were from other races (1.4%), and 5.9% were from two or more races. About 1.4% of the people were Hispanic or Latino.
Most of the people (205) lived in the northern part of the reservation, in a community called Watersmeet, Michigan. The other 16 people lived in the southern part. This southern section is right on the Michigan-Wisconsin border, next to a lake called Lac Vieux Desert.
