Ladarius Green (born May 29, 1990) is a former American professional football player. He played as a tight end in the NFL. Green played college football for the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He was chosen by the San Diego Chargers in the 2012 NFL Draft.

Early Life and High School Years

Ladarius Green was born in Berlin, Germany. His parents were serving in the military there. When he was three years old, his family moved to Florida. He went to Booker T. Washington High School in Pensacola, Florida. At high school, he played football and also ran track.

College Football Career

Green attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette from 2008 to 2011. During his college career, he caught 149 passes. These catches gained him 2,201 yards. He also scored 22 touchdowns.

Getting Ready for the NFL Draft

Before the 2012 NFL Draft, Ladarius Green was not very well known. But after two strong seasons in college, he started to get noticed. Experts began to see him as a promising player. Growing in 2013

In his second season, Green became the third tight end for the Chargers. He started to show he could be a good pass-catcher. The team often used multiple tight ends in their plays. On November 17, 2013, he had a great game. He caught four passes for 81 yards. The next week, he scored his first career touchdown. It was a 60-yard pass.

In 2013, Green played in all 16 games and started 10 of them. He caught 17 passes for 376 yards and scored 3 touchdowns. In a playoff game against the Cincinnati Bengals, Green made an amazing catch for a touchdown. The Chargers won that game.

2014 Season

Final Season with Chargers in 2015

In 2015, the Chargers' main tight end was suspended for four games. This meant Green became the starting tight end for a while. In the first game of the season, he caught five passes for 74 yards and a touchdown. He also scored a touchdown against the Cleveland Browns.

Green had his best season with the Chargers in 2015. He caught 37 passes for 429 yards and scored four touchdowns. He started 11 games and played in 14.

Time with the Pittsburgh Steelers

In March 2016, Ladarius Green signed a four-year contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was brought in to help the team's tight end group. He had an ankle injury before the season started. This meant he couldn't play right away. He was added to the active team roster in November 2016.

Ladarius Green is first cousins with Tyronne Green. Tyronne Green is an offensive guard who also played in the NFL. They even played together for the San Diego Chargers during Ladarius's first year.
