Lady Gaga is a famous American singer. She has released many different types of music. This includes five solo studio albums, two albums with other artists, and two movie soundtracks. She has also put out many singles, which are individual songs.
Lady Gaga started her music career in August 2008. Her first album was called The Fame. It became very popular, reaching number two in the United States. It also topped the music charts in many other countries. Her first two songs from this album, "Just Dance" and "Poker Face", were huge hits. They reached number one in several countries, including the US and UK. "Poker Face" was even the world's biggest song in 2009! Other popular songs from The Fame include "Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)", "LoveGame", and "Paparazzi".
In November 2009, Lady Gaga released The Fame Monster. This was like an updated version of The Fame. It also did very well, reaching number one in Australia, New Zealand, and the UK. The main song from this album, "Bad Romance", became a global hit. It reached number one in twelve countries. Her songs "Telephone" and "Alejandro" were also very successful.
Her second main album, Born This Way, came out in May 2011. It went straight to number one in the United States and twenty other countries. The song "Born This Way" was a big international success. It became her third number-one song in the US. Other well-known songs from this album are "Judas", "The Edge of Glory", "You and I", "Marry the Night", and "Bloody Mary".
Lady Gaga's third album, Artpop, was released in November 2013. It featured the songs "Applause" and "Do What U Want". In 2014, she teamed up with jazz singer Tony Bennett for an album called Cheek to Cheek. This album also reached number one in the US. Her fifth album, Joanne, came out in October 2016. Its main song, "Perfect Illusion", was number one in France. Another song, "Million Reasons", was a top hit in the US. With Joanne, Lady Gaga became the first woman to have four number-one albums in the US during the 2010s.
She continued her success in 2018 with the movie soundtrack for A Star Is Born. This album and its main song, "Shallow", were huge international hits. They reached number one in many countries, including the US and UK. Her sixth studio album, Chromatica, was released in 2020. It also topped the charts worldwide and included the hit song "Rain on Me". In 2021, she released another album with Tony Bennett called Love for Sale. Lady Gaga also sang "Hold My Hand" for the 2022 movie Top Gun: Maverick.
Lady Gaga is one of the world's best-selling music artists. She has sold over 170 million records. Many of her songs are among the best-selling singles of all time.
