How Laguna Limpia Started
Laguna Limpia began to grow because a railroad was being built in the area. The first families who moved there were often workers building the train tracks or people managing the project.
The town got its name from a nearby lake. This lake was famous for its very clear water. When the first people came to build the train station, they called it "the station where the clear lake is." Over time, this long name became shorter, turning into "Laguna Limpia," which means "Clear Lake" in Spanish.
Laguna Limpia officially became a village on September 4, 1944.
