Lake Elizabeth is a small, natural freshwater lake found in Winter Haven, Florida. This lake is shaped like a circle and covers about 0.91-acre (3,700 m2) of land. Homes line most of the lake's edges, except for the south side.
On the south side, there is a large, usually dry area called a drainage basin. This basin helps collect rainwater. Many big trees grow around Lake Elizabeth, providing lots of shade for the water.
Exploring Lake Elizabeth
You can visit Lake Elizabeth from its south side, along the edge of the drainage basin. This area is open to the public. However, there isn't a special spot for swimming or a ramp to launch boats.
Fishing at Lake Elizabeth
Even without a boat ramp, you can still enjoy fishing from the shore. Since the land on the south side is public, it's a great place to cast a line. People often catch different types of fish here. Some common fish found in Lake Elizabeth include largemouth bass, bluegill, and crappie.
