Lake Five is a small, unincorporated community in the state of Wisconsin, United States. An unincorporated community is a place where people live that doesn't have its own local government, like a city or a village. Instead, it's part of a larger area. Lake Five is located within the village of Richfield, which is in Washington County.
This community sits right on the southern edge of Washington County. It's also very close to the town of Lisbon in Waukesha County. You can find Lake Five along County Highway Q, which is a local road.
History of Lake Five
Even though it's a small community, Lake Five has some interesting history. A post office was opened here a long time ago, in May 1855. The very first person to be in charge of the mail, called the postmaster, was Patrick McGovern. This shows that people have lived and communicated in Lake Five for many years.
