Lake Harris is a place in South Australia. It is about 530 kilometers (330 miles) north-west of Adelaide, the capital city. This area is named after a nearby lake, also called Lake Harris.
About Lake Harris Locality
This area, known as the Lake Harris locality, was officially created on April 26, 2013. It was named after the lake because people had used that name for a long time.
Changing the Borders
When the locality was first set up, its border with a nearby place called Wilgena split an island. Part of Wallabin Island and the western side of Lake Harris were in Wilgena. In 2014, the borders were changed. This made sure that all of Wallabin Island is now part of the Lake Harris locality.
