Lake Panorama is a special kind of community in Guthrie County, Iowa, United States. It's called a census-designated place, which means it's an area identified by the U.S. Census Bureau for statistics. It's located in two areas called Cass Township and Victory Township.
In the year 2020, about 1,266 people lived here. Lake Panorama is in the eastern part of Guthrie County. It's right next to the city of Panora on its southeast side. This community is built around Lake Panorama, which is a large lake made from the Middle Raccoon River.
The total area of Lake Panorama is about 21.5 square kilometers (8.3 square miles). Most of this area, about 17.1 square kilometers (6.6 square miles), is land. The rest, about 4.3 square kilometers (1.7 square miles), is water, making up about 20% of the total area.
