Lake Taharoa is a beautiful freshwater lake located in the Northland Region of New Zealand. You can find it close to Ripiro Beach. It's important to know that there's another lake with the same name in the Waikato area, so don't get them mixed up!

Lake Taharoa is part of a special group of lakes called the Kai Iwi lakes. These lakes are known as dune lakes. This means they formed in hollows between sand dunes over many, many years.
