Lake Tohopekaliga, often called Lake Toho or Toho, is a large lake in Osceola County, Florida. Its name comes from Native American words meaning "fence" or "fort" and "site." This lake is the biggest in Osceola County.
Lake Toho is a very important part of the local water system. It is the main source for Shingle Creek, which starts in Orlando. The lake covers about 22,700 acres (91.86 km2) and has a shoreline of 42 miles (68 km).

Connecting Waterways
Lake Toho is connected to other lakes and rivers by canals. This helps water flow through the area.
St. Cloud Canal
A canal called Canal 31 links Lake Toho to East Lake Tohopekaliga. This canal is about 3 miles (5 km) long. It runs through the western part of St. Cloud.
South Port Canal
At the southern end of Lake Toho, there is the South Port canal. This canal connects Lake Toho to Cypress Lake. It is about 4 miles (6 km) long.

The city of Kissimmee is on the northern side of the lake. Kissimmee Park is on the eastern shore. South Port is located on the southern shore.

Lakefront Park is a popular spot on the northern side of Lake Toho. It is next to Lakeshore Boulevard. The park has a nice walking path with benches. Visitors can see many types of birds, alligators, and turtles there. Lakefront Park also has a small lighthouse and a playground for kids. Big Toho Marina is on the west side of the park.
