How Lakeside Village Started
The story of Lakeside Village began in the 1960s. This was when people first started selling properties in the area. At the same time, Perry Lake was being built.
The lake was finished in 1970. Just two years later, in 1972, Jefferson County officially recognized Lakeside Village. They called it an "improvement district." This means it's a special area set up to manage local services and improvements for the community.
