Lakeville is a small town in Indiana, United States. It is located about 11 miles (18 km) south of a bigger city called South Bend. Lakeville is part of St. Joseph County. In 2020, about 879 people lived there. It is part of the larger South Bend–Mishawaka area.

History of Lakeville
The area where Lakeville is now was first settled by people from Europe in 1836. A railroad arrived in 1845, which helped the town grow.
By the 1890s, there were 13 small, one-room schools nearby. In 1898, these schools joined together. They formed one larger, two-story elementary school in Lakeville. The town of Lakeville officially became a town in 1902. Lakeville has had a post office since 1850.
The old Lakeville High School building is important. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991. This means it's a special historical place.
A big company called Hoosier Racing Tire has its main offices in Lakeville. They make tires for racing cars! This company is now owned by Continental AG. Their manufacturing plant is about 20 miles south in Plymouth, Indiana.
