Lamond Murray's Early Life and College Career
Lamond Murray was born in Pasadena, California. He went to John F. Kennedy High School in Fremont, California. After high school, he played college basketball at the University of California at Berkeley. During his time there, he played alongside another famous basketball player, Jason Kidd.
Lamond Murray's NBA Journey
Lamond Murray was chosen as the seventh overall pick in the 1994 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Clippers. He played for the Clippers for several seasons. Later, he joined other NBA teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Toronto Raptors, and the New Jersey Nets.
Key Moments in His NBA Career
Murray played in 736 NBA games during his 12-year career. He averaged 11.3 points per game. In 2002, he was traded from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Toronto Raptors. Unfortunately, he got a foot injury during a practice game and missed the entire 2002–03 NBA season. After playing one season with the Nets, he briefly rejoined the Clippers in October 2006 before being released.
Life After the NBA
After his time in the NBA, Lamond Murray continued to play basketball. In 2009, he joined the Bahrain Basketball Association in Bahrain. He played for a team called Al-Muharraq Sports Club.

On March 10, 2012, Lamond Murray was honored for his college career. He was inducted into the Pac-12 Basketball Hall of Honor during the 2012 Pac-12 Conference men's basketball tournament.
