Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. (born August 11, 1974) is an American jazz singer from Logan County, West Virginia. He became famous after winning the sixth season of the TV show America's Got Talent in 2011. Since then, Landau has released four albums. He also earned his high school diploma during the COVID-19 pandemic and now helps other adults get their education. Early Life and Dreams
Landau grew up in West Virginia. He left high school before finishing. For many years, he worked different jobs and faced financial challenges. Before his big break on TV, his house was robbed. This difficult time led him to audition for America's Got Talent in 2010.

In November 2010, Landau went to New York City to audition for America's Got Talent. He impressed the judges with his smooth jazz voice. Music Career Highlights
