The Landroche River is a small river in Quebec, Canada. It flows into Lake Saint-Pierre, which is part of the big St. Lawrence River. This river is located in the town of Baie-du-Febvre. It's part of the Nicolet-Yamaska Regional County Municipality in the Centre-du-Quebec area.

Where the River Flows

The Landroche River is surrounded by other rivers and large bodies of water.

River's Beginning

The Landroche River starts from small streams in farm areas. These streams are in the town of Baie-du-Febvre. Its starting point is very close to the town of Saint-Elphège. The river officially begins where two streams, the Roland-Lemire stream and the Geoffroy stream, join together. This meeting point is right on the border between Saint-Elphège and Baie-du-Febvre.

River's Journey

From its start, the Landroche River flows for about 10 km (6.2 mi). It travels towards the north-west. Most of its path goes through farmland. Along its journey, the river drops about 24 m (79 ft) in height. It also crosses a few roads, including Chemin du Pays-Brûlé and Route 132.

River's End

The Landroche River continues to flow north-west through farming areas. It crosses Route 132 again. Finally, the river empties into Lake Saint-Pierre. This happens near a place called Pointe Gabriel. It's just north-east of the village of Baie-du-Febvre.

River's Name

The name "rivière Landroche" became official on August 8, 1980. This was decided by the Commission de toponymie du Québec. This commission is in charge of naming places in Quebec.
