Langston Arnold Galloway, born on December 9, 1991, is an American professional basketball player. He currently plays for Esenler Erokspor in Turkey's top basketball league, the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). Before becoming a pro, Langston played college basketball for the Saint Joseph's Hawks.

Langston's High School Basketball Journey

Langston Galloway went to Christian Life Academy in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was named the District 7 1-A Player of the Year twice. In his junior year (2008–09), he scored about 21 points per game. He also grabbed five rebounds and made three assists per game.

As a senior (2009–10), he averaged 26 points, five assists, and five steals. Langston helped his team win the Class 1A championship. He also earned a spot on the Class 1A All-State first team.

College Career Highlights

Langston Galloway played college basketball for the Saint Joseph's Hawks. He had a fantastic college career.

Freshman Year Success (2010–2011)

In his first year, Langston was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie team. He also won the Philadelphia Big 5 Rookie of the Year award. He was even named the Hawks' Co-MVP. In 33 games, he averaged 12.8 points and 5.5 rebounds.

Sophomore Year Achievements (2011–2012)

During his second year, Langston was chosen for the All-Atlantic 10 second team. He also made the All-Big 5 first team. For the second year in a row, he was named SJU's MVP. He averaged 15.5 points and 4.5 rebounds in 34 games.

Junior Year and Community Work (2012–2013)

In his third year, Langston was recognized for his community work. He was named to the All-State NABC Good Works Team. He also made the All-Big 5 second team. He averaged 13.8 points and 3.6 rebounds in 32 games.

Senior Year and Record Breaking (2013–2014)

In his final college season, Langston was named to the All-Atlantic 10 first team. He also made the All-Big 5 first team. He helped the Hawks win the conference championship. He was named SJU's MVP for the third time. He averaged 17.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in 34 games.

Langston finished his college career as the second-highest scorer in Hawks history. He scored 1,991 points. He also holds the record for the most three-pointers made, with 343.

Langston's Professional Basketball Career

After college, Langston Galloway began his professional basketball journey.

Starting with Westchester Knicks (2014–2015)

Langston was not chosen in the 2014 NBA draft. However, he played for the New York Knicks in the Summer League. In November 2014, he joined the Westchester Knicks. This team is part of the NBA G League, which is like a development league for the NBA.

Playing for the New York Knicks (2015–2016)

After two months with Westchester, Langston was called up to the New York Knicks in January 2015. He signed a 10-day contract. He made his NBA debut on January 7, scoring seven points. The next night, he scored 19 points. He later signed a two-year deal with the Knicks.

On April 13, he scored a career-high 26 points. He also made all six of his three-point shots. At the end of the season, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team. He was the first undrafted player in Knicks history to achieve this.

In the 2015–16 season, Langston played in all 82 games for the Knicks. He was trusted by his coach, Derek Fisher. He was also one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA early in the season. On January 26, 2016, he scored a season-high 21 points.

Time with New Orleans Pelicans (2016–2017)

On July 21, 2016, Langston signed with the New Orleans Pelicans. On November 19, he scored 23 points. He also tied his career high with six three-pointers. On December 5, he scored a season-high 26 points. He again hit six three-pointers in that game.

Moving to Sacramento Kings (2017)

On February 20, 2017, Langston was traded to the Sacramento Kings. He was part of a trade that involved several players and draft picks.

Years with Detroit Pistons (2017–2020)

On July 6, 2017, Langston signed a three-year contract with the Detroit Pistons. The 2017–18 season was a bit tougher for him. He played in 58 games and had lower shooting percentages. On December 12, he scored a season-high 18 points.

On December 9, 2018, Langston scored a season-high 24 points.

Joining Phoenix Suns (2020–2021)

On November 30, 2020, Langston signed with the Phoenix Suns. He reached the 2021 NBA Finals with the Suns. However, his team lost the championship series to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Playing in the G League and NBA (2021–2023)

In September 2021, Langston signed with the Golden State Warriors but was later waived. In December, he joined the College Park Skyhawks of the NBA G League. He played one game there.

Later in December 2021, he signed a 10-day contract with the Brooklyn Nets. He signed a second 10-day contract with them. In January 2022, he signed a 10-day contract with the Milwaukee Bucks.

On January 21, 2022, Langston returned to the College Park Skyhawks. In September 2022, he signed with the Indiana Pacers but was waived in October. He then re-signed with the Skyhawks in November 2022.

Playing in Italy (2023–2025)

On August 3, 2023, Langston signed with UnaHotels Reggio Emilia in Italy's top basketball league, Lega Basket Serie A. He played there until 2024.

On August 1, 2024, he signed with Trapani Shark, another Italian team in the Lega Basket Serie A. He played for them until 2025.

Current Team: Esenler Erokspor (2025–Present)

On July 8, 2025, Langston Galloway signed with Esenler Erokspor. He is currently playing for this team in the Basketbol Süper Ligi in Turkey.

Langston's Personal Life

Langston Galloway is the son of Larry and Jeralyn Galloway. His uncle, Geoff Arnold, was an assistant coach at Saint Joseph's. Geoff later became an assistant coach for Rider University.
