Langtree is a small, quiet area in the countryside of New South Wales, Australia. It's known as a "rural locality," which means it's a place with homes and farms spread out, rather than a busy town or city. Langtree is located in a region called the Riverina, which is famous for its farming.
Langtree's Location
Langtree is found in the central northern part of the Riverina region. It is about 8 kilometres (5 miles) north of a place called Goorawin. Langtree is also about 22 kilometres (14 miles) south of a larger town named Hillston. This makes Langtree a quiet spot between these two locations.
The Railway Station
Langtree was once home to a railway station. This station is no longer in use, meaning trains do not stop there anymore. Railway stations were very important in the past. They helped people travel and moved goods like farm products to other towns and cities. Even though the station is gone, its history is part of Langtree's story.
