Larri Thomas (born January 23, 1932 – died October 20, 2013) was an American actress and dancer. She started her career by appearing in TV commercials. Later, she signed a contract with NBC, a big television network.

Larri Thomas appeared in many TV shows like Peter Gunn and The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour. She was also chosen as one of the six Goldwyn Girls by Samuel Goldwyn. These dancers went on tour for the movie Guys and Dolls, where Larri also had a small part.

She was also in famous movies such as Mary Poppins and Island of Love. Larri Thomas was even the stand-in for actress Julie Andrews in some flying scenes in Mary Poppins. She also stood in for Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music. Later in her career, she appeared in TV shows like Dynasty, Cheers, and Coach.

Larri Thomas's Life

Larri Thomas's mother was a writer named Lida Larrimore Thomas. In 1951, her mother wrote a book called The Lovely Duckling. This book was about Larri's childhood growing up on a farm in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

In 1955, Larri Thomas married John Bromfield. He was an actor known for the TV show Sheriff of Cochise. They later divorced in 1959.

One of Larri's most well-known roles was in 1972. She played Henrietta Hippo on the children's TV show New Zoo Revue. This was a very big role for her. Later, Larri Thomas married Bruce Hoy. She also helped with many charity events, especially for dancers.

Her Passing

Larri Thomas passed away on October 20, 2013, at her home in Van Nuys, California. She was 81 years old. Her husband, Bruce Hoy, passed away a few months later in 2014.
