History of Larwill
Larwill was first planned and named Huntsville on November 13, 1854. The town's name changed to Larwill on March 8, 1866. This new name honored William and Joseph Larwill, who were important railroad engineers. The Larwill post office has been open since 1866.
The Dr. Christopher Souder House is a very old building in Larwill. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. This means it is an important historical site.
