Lasbela District facts for kids
Lasbela is a coastal district located in the Balochistan province of Pakistan. It is a special area along the coast. Lasbela became its own separate district on June 30, 1954. Before that, it was part of the Kalat division.
The name "Lasbela" has an interesting meaning. "Las" means a plain, which describes much of the area. "Bela" means "jungle" and is also the name of the main town in the district. The district headquarters, which is like its main office, is in a town called Uthal.
