Laura Bernal passed away suddenly at her home in Rathmines, Ireland, on April 26, 2020. After her death, it was found that she had contracted COVID-19.
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic and at her sister's request, her body was not sent back to Argentina. Her funeral was held on May 15, 2020, at St Michael's parish church in Foxford, Ireland. She was then buried in Craggagh Cemetery nearby.
