Laura Fraser is a talented Scottish actress born on July 24, 1975. She is well-known for her roles in many popular TV shows and movies. You might recognize her as Door from the fantasy series Neverwhere, Kate in the movie A Knight's Tale, or Lydia Rodarte-Quayle in the crime dramas Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

Early Life and Training
Laura Fraser grew up in Glasgow, Scotland. Her mother was a college lecturer and nurse, and her father was a screenwriter and businessman. Laura went to Hillhead High School and was part of the Scottish Youth Theatre, where she started her acting journey. She later trained at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, which is now called the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Laura Fraser's acting career began in 1995. Her first big role was playing Door in the BBC fantasy series Neverwhere in 1996. This show helped her become more widely known.
Popular Film Roles
She has appeared in several movies that you might have seen. She played Kate in the adventure film A Knight's Tale (2001) and also appeared in Vanilla Sky (2001). Later, she starred in the British comedy Nina's Heavenly Delights (2006).

In 2016, Laura played Eve Stone in the TV series The Missing. The next year, in 2017, she starred as DS Annie Redford in the ITV drama The Loch. She also made a guest appearance in the popular science fiction series Doctor Who in 2020, playing the character Kane in the episode "Orphan 55".
Looking ahead, Laura is set to star as Detective Bea Metcalfe in the ITV series Patience in 2025. In this role, her character works with a neurodiverse person from the criminal records team.
Personal Life
Laura Fraser is married to Irish-born American actor Karl Geary. They got married in 2003 and have one daughter. The family lives in Glasgow, Scotland.
