Laura Whitmore is a well-known Irish TV presenter and model. She was born on May 4, 1985. Laura is famous for hosting many popular TV shows.
She started her career as a video jockey (VJ) for MTV in 2008. Since then, she has presented shows like This Morning and Survival of the Fittest. From 2020 to 2022, she hosted Love Island. In 2020, Laura also became a team captain on the comedy show Celebrity Juice. More recently, in 2023, she launched her own chat show, Laura Whitmore's Breakfast Show, and a documentary series called Laura Whitmore Investigates.

Laura Whitmore was born in Dublin, Ireland, on May 4, 1985. She grew up in a town called Bray, County Wicklow. Laura went to Loreto Secondary School. After school, she studied journalism at Dublin City University.

Becoming a TV Star
In April 2008, Laura took part in a competition called Pick Me MTV. She won the contest and became the new face of MTV News in Europe. For seven years, from 2008 to 2015, she hosted news reports and special events for MTV across Europe.
Hosting Popular Shows
From 2011, Laura hosted I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! NOW! on ITV2. This show aired right after the main I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! show. She left this role in April 2016.
In 2012, Laura appeared on the RTÉ talk show, Saturday Night with Miriam. This was after she carried the 2012 Summer Olympics torch. She also hosted a pilot episode for a music talent show called The Hit in Ireland.
In April 2014, Laura co-hosted the 11th Irish Film & Television Awards. That same year, she joined the BBC Eurovision team. She was a commentator for the semi-finals of the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Denmark. She also sometimes presented a section on ITV's This Morning.
New Challenges
In August 2016, Laura joined the fourteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing. This is a popular dance competition show. She danced with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice. Laura was the sixth contestant to leave the show in November 2016.
In 2018, she presented Survival of the Fittest. This was a reality TV series for ITV2.
On December 20, 2019, it was announced that Laura would host the sixth series of Love Island. She continued to host the show for the seventh series in June 2021. On August 23, 2022, Laura announced she would be stepping down from hosting Love Island. This was because she had new projects that needed her time.
In April 2023, Laura started hosting her own chat show on ITV1 called Laura Whitmore’s Breakfast Show. She invites celebrity guests for a chat every Sunday morning. In July 2023, she also released her documentary series Laura Whitmore Investigates on ITVX. In this series, she explores different important topics.
