The Laurel View River is a short, special kind of river in the state of Georgia, United States. It's only about 4.6 miles (7.4 kilometers) long. This river is unique because it's a "tidal river," meaning its water level changes with the ocean's tides.

About the Laurel View River

The Laurel View River gets its water from the Jerico River. The Jerico River actually splits into two parts: the Laurel View River and the Belfast River. These two rivers flow separately for a while.

Where Does It Flow?

The Laurel View River and the Belfast River eventually meet up again. When they join, they form a new river called the Medway River. The Medway River then continues its journey all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.

A Natural Boundary

For its entire length, the Laurel View River acts like a natural border. It separates two different counties in Georgia: Bryan County and Liberty County. So, if you're on one side of the river, you're in Bryan County, and if you're on the other side, you're in Liberty County!
