The Jerico River is a river in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is about 12.8 miles (20.6 kilometers) long. This river flows on the Atlantic coastal plain, which is a flat area near the ocean.

The Jerico River forms the border between Bryan County and Liberty County. It acts as a natural dividing line for its entire length.

Where the Jerico River Starts and Ends

The Jerico River begins where two smaller streams meet. These streams are Jerico Creek and Mount Hope Creek. This starting point is about 12 miles (19 kilometers) east of Hinesville.

As the river flows, it winds through areas called salt marshes. These are wetlands that are often flooded by salty ocean water. The river also passes under Interstate 95, a major highway.

The Jerico River ends when it joins with two other rivers. These are the Laurel View River and the Belfast River. These two rivers are tidal channels. This means their water levels change with the ocean tides. Finally, these channels connect to the Medway River, which is an arm of the Atlantic Ocean.
